so nhere's episode 3. i'm still halfway through my rewatch of episode 4 though, so that might take some time. school's finally started again, and i only have sundays off. (boo!) not like anyone even cares about these pic spams, i just really enjopy doing them, heh.

this time we start with a busy-busy yankumi looking out for her precious students' future.

episode 3; )

(haha, that line never gets old.)

sure, i've seen gokusen at least a dozen times over, but recently, i thought i wanted to watch it again. this time not only as an obsessive shinkumi fan but as a !$&^*%*&^*&!&^wordscannotexpress matsujun fangirl. ^^; (basic result: i helplessly snigger everytime he's on screen — apparently i still can't get past the ugly teeth, lol.)

as i thought, a picspam came out of it, and i'm only up `til episode 3, haha. (y'now, tbh, i think i unconsciously require myself to spazz over gokusen at least once a year. no, really.)

let's start with a newly woken, slightly tousled yankumi. just because we can. :D

episode 2;  )

you know, i do think jun was best at being momo (kimi wa petto) and that he totally owned being domyouji (hana yori dango), but no matter what, it seems i still like matsujun as shin best. ♥

for narishun_kun, some matsuyama kenichi in gokusen, haha )

and i will insert more kenichi just for you the next time i do a gokusen pic spam, lol. actually this entry was supposed to be for episodes 2 and 3, but it became much more spamm-y than i thought it would. here's sto hoping i have the patience to do all the episodes. i'm kind of aiming for it, heh. :)

lastly, there's supposed to be a jun drama next season (with kato ai accdg to rumors). i kind of both want it and not so much. jun's already shooting TWO MOVIES after all. he's going to look all exhausted again like in 2006. :|

eeeh! i thought i lost my copy of the last few episodes of samurai champloo, but i found them again, so now i can get on with that re-watch i've been wanting to do for a while (um, yeah, since i can't – not won't, can't – download anything new these days, i've just been re-watching and re-reading a bunch of stuff). only now, can someone provide me with (links or copies on a cd, *cough*) the effing soundtrack? i'd love you to bits forever. you can even own part of my soul, if you want.

nowadays, i think i can only go through an entire anime series if it had good soundtrack. (esp since good ost usually also means decent enough animation.)

moving on, few of you probably know this, but taiho shichauzo!! (aka you're under arrest!!) used to be one of my favorite anime. to go with it, tokairin/natsumi was (and is) one of my favorite anime 'ships. i had nothing better to do so i decided to re-watch a couple of yua episode featuring them and ended up with this semi-picspam instead. the images are of a crappy quality (since they're only really just vcd caps, not dvd quality ones, or even avi ones) but i just had to. hee.

kitto, love somebody )

up next: the movie and season 2, lol. ♥ oh shit, except i don't have a copy of the second season. boo. D:

Everytime Mizuki goes "Sano! Sano!" I just roll my eyes now. Whatever. To be honest, Sano/Mizuki was never a favorite 'ship, and now, for some reason, they even annoy me. (And don't even get me started on Mizuki flying all the way to Japan from America. T_T) The real reason why the Hana Kimi jdrama is worth watching regularly? It's so I can spam you guys with Nakatsu and Taiki. ♥

ikemen paradise ~ 02, 03 )

Anyway, that's all for now. I still haven't seen the fourth episode. But expect more Nakatsu-and-Taiki spam entries once I do, heh. ♥

P.S. Also, Graituitous Icon Post YAY! ♥ (Um, I just realized that this post has way too many ♥s. Haha.)

I've always considered Hanazakari no Kimitachi e one of my favorite shoujo titles, despite the fact that I totally lost interest in the two main characters around the end of its serialized run.

I was excited when I found out that there was going to be a (Japanese) drama. I imagined all sorts of awesomeness from it.

hana kimi has one of the most awesome otps ever, and it's not who you think )

The entire first episode I was just waiting around for Nakatsu, Taiki, and Nakatsu-and-Taiki scenes – letting out squees of glee every time they were on screen. I hope the rest of the series is powdered with more. ♥

(I wonder if there's going to be a Julia though. The Nakatsu/Julia scenes would be priceless too. :D)

Bokura no Yuuki ~ Miman Toushi ~ is an old drama from 1997. The story is about a bunch of kids (18 and below) who survived a disease that only affected adults. The disease came from a meteorite which landed on Makahara, Chiba, and the government is trying to disguise the accident as an earthquake. Someone just started subbing it.

And, the main point of attraction for me? Matsumoto Jun at the tender age of fourteen. Heh. 1997 was pre-Arashi, pre-voice-breaking, pre-bad!skin and pre-good!teeth. Also, pre hip-sway. Or maybe that's just because he sports overalls so you can't exactly observe his hips. But dammit, he certainly was an adorable fourteen year old. >_< So, in honor of the adorable, mini cap spam!

at a loss for a witty cut text, lol )

See how the innocence shines through? Hee. Anyway, only the first episode has been subbed, so I'll probably reserve judgment on the entire series for later. It seems interesting, but the ugly video quality (remember how this is from 10 years ago?) isn't really on the pro list.

( Ah. I feel like an "i ♥ matsujun" tag is in order. SRSLY. /end fangirl moment )

It's totally long, but for some reason it didn't feel like that while I was answering it. So I added some visuals for fun. XD

That long-ish Dorama Meme )

I'd heard about this quite a while ago (it was one of the most anticipated doramas of the Autumn 2006 season), but I was skeptical. I have never liked classical music and I don't care much about orchestras. The idea of Ueno Juri and Endo Yuya appealed to me, but back then, Ueno Juri wasn't all that big for me (the way she is now, I guess, but I'll talk about her later). Anyway, I didn't realise there was so much crack involved. And you know me, I enjoy my crack. Not to mention the cast! Not only Juri and Yuya, but Hiroshi Tamaki and Eita and Takenaka Naoto! And a whole slew of others I've enjoyed from various other shows.

Anyway, I've been thinking, and Nodame Cantabile 1-5 )

On the other hand, I know everybody is also pretty much in love with Kurosagi and all (plus I know there's a whole YAY factor with Yamapi and Horikita Maki), and while I'm more or less enjoying it, I don't find myself going gaga over it. I can't bring myself to invest, which is sad, because on paper, it seems like the sort of thing I'd enjoy.

Urgh. I just realised, what with the music relations and all: I want a BECK live action dorama. Actually a live action movie would suffice, but a dorama would be awesome. But I guess a series would be difficult, esp if it bleeds over the American tour, so yes, I'd be happy with a movie ~ ♥

Which means, this is now the list of the manga I'd really really want to see a live action version of: Bring them to life )

How about you, which of your favorite manga would you want to see live action versions of?
aoimidori: (secret :: jisung :: pretty)
So, instead of getting some much needed rest last night, I chose to finish Good Luck!! instead. I think I fell too hard for this show. You can tell I really enjoyed something, if, afterward, I can think "Maa~ I can watch that again." Because that definitely went through my head when I finished this dorama. Sure, it had its fair share of cringe worthy grating drama, but all in all, I found it very well balanced. I liked the actors, the characters, the plot, the pacing, and most especially, the romance and the relationship build up.

PIC SPAM!!! And thoughts on the last two episodes )

This really is something I can watch all over again, if only for the scenes between Ogawa and Shinkai. Although, at the moment, I'm more in the mood for an Orange Days rewatch. Because Kou with Kimura Takuya is good and all, but Kou with Tsumabuki Satoshi is just. Plain. Awesome. ♥

I have to finish indexing for my LIS 64 term project first though. Guh.

P.S. My TricK 2 download is 70++% and steadily downloading (albeit at a rate of around 10-20 kbps). But at least by the time it finishes, I should be done with my finals, etc. Eeeeh. ♥
aoimidori: (sj :: eunteuk :: ssshhh)
The girl crush on Shibasaki Kou is on full-on mode! And I blame it all on Good Luck!! Ogawa Ayumi is my favorite type of cliche -- fast talking and sassy -- and Kou plays characters like that pretty well.

Also, Ayumi and Shinkai's relationship is just the right kind of mix that appeals to my (not so) secret hopeless romantic self. They'r enot overly cheesy, or showy, but you can see the chemistry (or at least I do, but maybe it's my bias towards Kou?) between them. And I love the pacing and the progress of their relationship. Episodes 5 and 6 makes me especially squee-y (even though the non Shinkai/Ayumi parts were overloaded with, IMHO, unnecessary drama).

I 'Ship, therefore I Squee )

The best thing about this dorama is, despite all the drama and the (AUGH!! *flail*) romance, it has the correct amount of light crack. I mean, with Takenaka Naoto and Kato Takako? I'm solved. Ever since Waterboys (the movie), Takenaka Naoto has been like Namase Katsuhisa for me. They both bring the right amount of crack needed for something. And Kato Takako? I'll refresh your brains, she plays Okami-san in both Hana Yori Dango 1 and 2.

I have 3 episodes left (well, 2 and a half since I'm watching episode 8 right now). I'm not sure I want to continue, because once I'm done, then there's no more. Eeeeh. ><
