Fight-oh! Oh!
Done with 4 episodes of the Live Action version of Gokusen! And yes, I'm going to keep talking about it until I finish all twelve episodes. T__T I hope I finish with the available 11 eps before the subbed version of ep 12 comes out though. So I can be all caught up and everything. XD

iconblue. Anime icons to come soon, because someone nice over at
shinkumi posted nice quality anime caps. XD Click the cut. You know you want to. Even if only for the nice cappiness. :p PIC SPAM ALERT!!! XD Much ShinKumi-ness too. HET ALERT!! ;D And of course, there are some musings on the show itself. ^______^

Ojou! She's pissed because Kumai says she needs a man. XP There's always Shin. ♥
And Tetsu has a thing for the Ojou in the drama, which I find cute. But we all know, between Shinohara and SHIN ♥, he has no chance in hell. So I'm all for Tetsu/Fujiyama which actually seems possible in the drama. :p
You can't help but love Class 3-D. Especially the main group. In the drama you can feel their friendship and bond so much more than in the anime and manga. ^_^
Uchi's my favorite in the drama (next to Shin of course), even though I liked him least in the anime and manga. :p I wonder how long it takes him everyday to friggin' do that hair do. not to mention I think he has a different one every episode. :p Hee~
Noda, the Laptop Guy, is next. Because he has thecutest best expressions out of them all. XD
Fight-oh! Oh! (Shin: baka da ne~)
Heeeee~ I can sooo bypass MatsuJun's ugly teeth if he smiles like this all the time. And all because of Yankumi!! ♥ This is the kind of expression Shin gets only when he's looking at Yankumi. ;p Always secretly. XD
Yankumi: Sawada!! Sawada!! Watcha think?!
I LOOOOOOOVE SHIN'S EXPRESSION! So cute, the two of them. ^^; Shin: You look fine. :|
And look how Shin is always sneaking looks at her, with that kawaii espression. Pure look of admiration. *squee* One that voices out his thoughts: "That's MY GIRL!!"
And yet, more ShinKumi goodness... *swoons*
Yankumi: That's the first time you called me Yankumi!!
The infamous "Baka" scenes! *swoons allover again* Look how cute they are!!! T____T
I think the reason why I'm obssessing over the Gokusen JDrama is because I want to feel all giggly, etc. (IOW, gusto kong kiligin~) But I don't wat to read or watch anything overly cheesy. So ShinKumi is just PERFECT. ♥♥♥
Kyaaa~ I can't wait to download episode 05. From the preview, I can tell there's so much ShinKumi. Am I right? Hopefully I am. :p Expect another entry like this. ;) And yeah, caps to be put up soon in
iconblue.

Gokusen: Fight-oh! Oh!;
When I saw the first episode, I thought I wasn't going to like the drama as much as I did the anime and manga. The fact that Shinohara-sensei was a cop didn't suit well with me, the addition of the school nurse seemed weird, and Kyou-san was missing. :/ And JDorama!Yankumi is so much more naive than Animanga!Yankumi, who seems surer at what she does. But as I conitnued to watch though (am up til episode 4 now), I began liking it more and more. The fact that there seems to be so much more ShinKumi than in the anime and manga, is a pretty good bonus too.
But what I like so much about the drama is that each of the punk kids from the main group has a lot of personality. Only til ep 4 and I can see that. In the anime, they're okay, but the focus is really on Yankumi and Shin. Which is okay since they are the main characters, but I like knowing a lot more about the other students in 3-D too. At first, I didn't like ot much that they shuffled the characters and the happennings. They took away the seniors, they gave Minami the girlfriend, Uchi is the one with a struggling mother instead of Kuma, PLUS he's the one incorrectly accused of being a thief instead of Noda.. and Noda, Noda has a crush on Fujiyama. And the original animanga Fujiyama's personality appears to have moved to Kawashima instead. ^^; Then I realised that's good, in its own way. At leats it wouldn't seem like I'm watching a repeat of the anime. There are new twists, and half the time I wouldn't have an idea of what's happening.
Plus the punk kids aren't as ugly as in the animanga. They're not the bishie-est kids around, but you eventually find them pretty okay, if not too good-looking.

The thing about Shin and Yankumi, even though I'm not the biggest advocate of student-teacher relationships (actually, I'm not at all), is not that Shin's the cutest. Or bishie-est. The others like Yankumi just as much, but all they see in Yankumi is a cool teacher. (Heck I want a teacher like that. :p) But to Shin, Yankumi isn't just a teacher. He's shown interest in her right from the start, and its not because she's a teacher. Its because he sees something special in her. Something special that will eventually develop onto something of a crush. Yankumi is too naive to realise it, but Shin certainly interests her too. So cute. And so borderline canon. XD
